Favourite product: How can I possibly choose? If I MUST…Pear Balsamic Confection

"What do you love most about your job at Theo?"

It is truly wonderful to work with a group of like minded and yet totally unique individuals toward the common goal of improving the plight of the cacao farmer while also striving to leave this beautiful planet better than we found it. The team effort makes it all seem possible. Of course I love the fact that I get to eat and share fantastic chocolate every single day too!

"What inspires you?"

The farmers we work with.

"What’s something people would be surprised to know about you?"

I was a terribly picky eater as a child.

"What food would you drive all day for?"

In the past I would have declared fresh mozzarella drizzled with balsamic vinegar without hesitating, but lately I have been all about Pho or any other sort of yummy hot noodle soup I can get my hands on down in the International District…pretty sure that has something to do with the Seattle winters…

"What’s the most surprising thing you’ve learned about chocolate while working at Theo?"

I’m embarrassed to say I had no idea chocolate comes from the seed of a fruit before I began working at Theo! I have learned SO MUCH about the chocolate making process in my time here as well as the history of the cocoa industry.

"What’s your earliest chocolate memory?"

I went fishing with my dad at a very young age and we weren’t having the best of luck by a long shot. At one point my dad told me to close my eyes and I suddenly felt a tug on my line…when I opened my eyes my dad handed me a chocolate bar.

"What’s your favorite eco-tip?"

Vinegar and Baking Soda work wonders as a cleaning agent in lieu of commercial cleaners.
